Hackers!

No, not the movie with Johnny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie that I've seen 45 times...

But what's the purpose of hackers? Maybe it's because the minute I see a news article about computers my eyes glaze over, but I don't understand their intentions? Are they stealing? Why do they hack into stuff?

Specifically, why create things like worms and viruses? What purpose do they serve?

I think they're there to annoy people....like 7th Heaven but without the meaningful moral messages
