well, I have heard through the grapevine a BM dropped, waiting to get in touch with her (playing phone tag)

Situation changed for her, and she would rather be able to go as a guest than as a bridal party member.

awww I'm sorry

One of my BMs had to drop b/c of Med school, and I was a little sad. But in the end, it's better to have them there as a happy guest than as a grumpy maid I suppose.

i wish certain BM's of mine dropped out instead of making things more difficult!!!

Though it may not seem like it... it's a very mature decision to make. If they know they won't be able to be there (for all the time that's involved in being a BM) or spend that money or whatever the case may be.. it's very mature to not put you through any hardship and just drop out and be a guest instead of causing any sort of problems.

ita. sorry though. it will be good once u talk to her. its good she is thoughtful. and most important thing is that she is there....

maybe she can be a reader? i know i offered this to a few BMs who i werent sure if they could financially take on the role

I had one of my BM's drop out. At least you found out ahead of time. That is annoying that you heard it before she told you though. Hopefully you will get to speak to her soon

realistically, its for the best (lots of drama), but I still would have rather heard it myself, not from my MOH who spoke with her on the phone, then her soon to be ex husband who is in the bridal party.
