had a great day at fire island today until...UPDATED

a wave washed up on shore and knocked my bag over. Everything spilled out of it, including my ipod and cell phone...and neither work now

looks like i will be getting a new cell phone tomorrow. anyone know what the cheapest phone for verizon is that has the qwerty keypad (i can't text w/o it)

i'll definitely have to wait to get an ipod though which stinks. i'll just have to borrow FH's for my train rides if he lets me (unless client services has one laying around that they want to get off their hands )

and...my mom lost one of her shoes

...UPDATE...
A friend at work recently upgraded her phone so she offered me her old one (which was the same one I had) I am so happy I don't have to spend a small fortune on a new phone now

I am sorry to hear that! If you iPod is pretty dry now, just bring it to Apple and tell them it stopped working. They will probably give you a new one! As for the phone- I saw an ad in Newsday today for some phone with a qwerty keypad for 49.99 but you have to buy a contract. Are you due for an upgrade?

i'm not due for an upgrade until this time next year. i dont have insurance b/c i never had to use it and always thought it was just another way for them to con you into paying them more money but now i understand it lol.

salt is seeping out the sides of the ipod so i dont think they'll believe that it just stopped working. i'll just have to live w/o one for a while.

oh well...i'm going to verizon after work today...at least i will get a cute new phone now

Wow thats crazy! Sometimes things just need to really dry out. I remember my friend fell into a pond when we were younger and her phone worked after a few days.

sorry to hear that.....I was supposed to go there this weekend but we had a tire blowout in Staten Island and once fixed, we decided to go back home.

you can check out apple.com and get a refurbished ipod. I got one for my mom and my FH (8gb new video one) and got it for the price of the 4gb.

The def have some great deals there that will save you money
