Had a sonogram at 38 weeks yesterday

Hi everyone - Yesterday I had a songram to see how big my little guy may be weighing. The doctor said that right now it looks about 6.5 pounds - give or take a pound. He said that he wants me to have another sonogram next week because the it looks like the babies bones show that he is 36 weeks and he wants to keep an eye on it, but there is nothing to be worried about. So then why am I worried. If the doctor told you that your babies bones were measuring at 36 weeks and you are 38 weeks, would you just think that they may be off on your due date by 2 weeks?

Im sure everything is okay, but sometimes I jsut think too much and make myself crazy.

I wouldn't worry - due dates are just an estimate. My girlfriend is a sono tech and in speaking with her she said you have about a 10 day leeway +/-

I'm feeling ok - just tired!!! The baby is really low and having fun rolling around in my pelvic cavity making me walk like my 82 year old grandmother LOL.

I'm ready to go but the longer she holds out the longer I don't have to go back to work :) Plus the construction on my bathroom is being held up b/c the vanity and vanity top aren't in until NEXT FRIDAY so I'm hoping to go only a day or so early.

How are you holding up?

I am sure everything is ok.. I dont know why doctors do that!!! Say something and follow it up with 'but its nothing to worry about.'
Everytime I go for a sono they tell me I am a different week followed by 'Give or take a week'
Think of it this way.. you get to see your baby again!!!!

Thanks everyone. I am feeling pretty good. Just tired, I can barely sleep at night anymore, but I guess that is good practice for what is yet to come. He is dropping and it is very uncomfortable especially since I am working 10 hours a day and am on my feet alot. Thank goodness this is my last week. I need a break and some time to rest up.
