Well i worked 10 hours today (i work in retail so 10 hours on a saturday feels quite friggin long) We had a retardedly busy day today and my feet were killing me from standing and running back and forth all day...well I was still so happy that we were doing so well and made the store's weekly planned sales goal...until closing time when things slowed down and we started the cleanup to find 2 bags were stolen...then i counted out the drawer for the day and it was short $100. I was so afraid to possibly lose my job over this missing $100 that I put it in out of my own pocket...which I didn't even have to give so FH offered it to me to save my butt! I've been crying because I've been so financially strapped lately and I'm getting tattoo finished tuesday and FH is paying for that b/c I'm broke but tattoo artist is only here visiting so I kinda HAVE to get it now. FH also bought me a car today...and then he gave me the $100. I just feel like such a piece of ____ that he hasta carry my weight right now...I feel like a burdon. I mean I'm paying the mortgage and bills but still. I'm just so stressed...I hate my job...I work so hard and still struggle so much. this wedding is costing us so much more than i wanted to spend...but FH says we'll be fine and not to worry so we're going through with all the added expenses.
I'm really sorry for the rant but I've got company here at the house and this is all I can do to keep from breaking down into tears.

I am so sorry!!! I know how you are feeling - i had a COMPLETE monetary breakdown last night - WITH tears....
I keep telling myself it will get better - it doesn't always help. Crying though really did help!!! Maybe you just need to let it out!!!

also you cant get fired if the drawrs are short without proof that YOU took it....they cant they have no proof..i have had draws come up short before! oh well! its short. you shouldnt have put your own $$ in there. I know you were doing it to save your butt but now u r out 100 bucks that the store proboly wouldnt even miss!!! Next time don't worry they cant fire you/ arrent you with out proof! and if they do file a complaint or sue!

lol see...I'm salaried...so its not like I get overtime or anything. same paycheck every week...and I'm required to work 44 hours (even though we don't get paid overtime) and 48 hours during holiday season (or more if the business requires it)

Oh man you poor thing thats horrible I used to work at guess in the smith haven mall as well as walt whitman i was an assistant manager. things were stolen on a couple of my shifts and i went after them one time and after i caught them i thought to myself that this is a job and if they are going to fire me bc of this than it isnt worth it, Your life is so much more important Never forget that. You ar so lucky that you have a fh that will go above and beyond for you. On a happy note what type of car did you get ?? Congrats !!!! good luck with it

yeah i hear ya...but look at it this way....working salary you get paid even when you take off...lol
FH used to be on salery and my brother is as well. thats what they always say when they wold work 50-60-70 hours weeks lol

oh its nothing magnificent...its a toyota corrola ...a 92. its my first car. I actually only have my permit and am going to schedule my road test.

thanks hon. I'm actually glad its nothing magnificent. I've had a HUGE fear of driving and I feel more comfortable driving something thats not worth much. not that i intend to crash...but i don't wanna be bummed if i get a ding or something

i am sooo sorry that you've been having such a hard time. Trust me i know how it feels. I know it $ucks to feel like you aren't financially steady on your own right now.. but that's what couples do.. there are always gonna be times where one person is doing better than the other and you'll always help eachother!! I know it feels crappy sometimes.. but you'll get through it!! don't worry .. in the end the wedding is gonna be awesome and worth every penny and your gonna be soo happy!!! Hang in there BTW: congrats on the new car.. that's awesome

Aww- you are just overworked and have so much on your plate right now. That is so nice that FH is there to help out (you are both a team now). Don't feel like a piece of you know what there will come a time that FH is going to need help and you are going to be so happy to be there for him.
I hope things work out for you. Easier said then done but try to take it easy.

I'm sorry you had a bad day and I know what you mean about feeling like crap depending on FH but that is what love and relationships are all about. being there for one another always, ESPECIALLY when times are tough!!

It was as if they thought because you were working you were an idiot so I totally understand. I do think there is a nice positive side behind what you've been going through. Its clear from your post that you and your FH are madly in love with eachother and have already worked so hard to build a beautiful future. The two of you clearly understand how to work together for something you both want in a way that supports eachother. You shouldn't feel bad about all the wonderful things your FH did to help you yesterday, but you should feel proud that you've found someone so wonderful who wants to love you and make you happy. We all know you would have done the same for your FH if you could. Just know that you've found a great man to spend the rest of your life with and he's found a great woman!

You absolutely should never ever put your own money into a short drawer. It could have been counted wrong in the first place so when you closed it was still short $100.

Being a retail manager is not fun sometimes... I am doing the same thing and I understand the stresses. I wish you good luck on your driving test and a better WEEK this week!
