I had this idea the other night but I don't know if it is cheesy...
I am going to make a DIY Aisle runner with our monogram and a quote... it says 'remember tonight for it is the begining of always' -Dante
Soooo I am a little sad that it will only be used and the church and nothing else. So I was thinking of after the ceremony asking my DOC to actually cut the aisle runner where the graphics are and bring them to the RH.... Then I want that drapped in front of the cake table, like over the tablecloth where it is hanging (not actually flat on the table).. so the cake would be on top of it and keep it from slipping. This way that shows all night.
Of course this depends on how dirty/trashed it got at the church but if it was still in good condition to try this.... what do you all think?

As long as the runner is not dirty and in no way touching the cake (or even looking like it is touching the cake) then go for it. I think that would be a nice touch

yeah as long as its in good shape and it wouldn't be too much of a hassel to transport it and hang it on the cake table i don't see why you shouldn't do it.

Oh absolutley! It would not be touching the cake, or looking like it at all! and of course if it looks dirty in any way... then no way
