No you are NOT!!! Totally not fair!! Especially when you are just trying to say thank you to the ONE person that is really helping you!!!! A girl needs help here and there - and if she is really helping you, then you should be able to thank her in whatever way you want!!!! Tell him to take a deep breath and to remember who he is fighting with and what he is arguing over!!! Not something a couple should be fighting over for their wedding!!!

I am so sorry you are going through all this. I know what you are felling like cause I have had alot of problems with FH's family also. I cna't believe you had to pay for the ticket. Thats crazy!! Just ignore them from now on. And you do for your family what you want and he does what he wants for his family. You can't please everyone.

and i agree, your FH cant get mad at you for getting your MOH that gift. Does he realize how much she helped with your shower and its your way of saying thank you. He cant compare especially if his best mans gf cant even make it to your shower and might not make the RD.

so sorry to hear about this...weddings have a way of bringing out the best and worst in people

in the end, keep in mind those who make an effort to be at your shower and other events, and don't focus so much on those who don't make the effort...you know the saying, 'what goes around, comes around,' so when it's their turn, you can give them the same treatment

your not wrong! I would be pissed if i was you too!

You see people's true colors through this process , and boy thoese colors are UGLY ! I had a similar thing about my MOH , who I wanted to buy a coach bag and FH was like what about my best man, how could you spend so much on her ? I yelled at him that my MOH has gone above and beyond and deserves it and to shut up about it !

and as far as FH family, they have done NOTHING ! and they have $ too, they just don't care !

YOU have every right to be pissed ! Your wedding is in a little over 2 months (YAY) so I am sure all your stress levels are much higher then normal !

breathe ! at least you vented to him and got it out in the open

I'm sorry hes being difficult, sometimes the guys just dont get it. FH got annoyed with me yesterday because I told him I need 2 new dresses, one for my shower and one for my rehearsal dinner. You have to do what you feel is right in your heart.
