Had make up trial and took engagement pics

I had my makeup trial last night with Clinique, I love the way their make up felt on my face, I never wear foundation so to have her put it on and not feel it was great. Plus, I really wanted make up that looked natural and it definitely looked that way. The engagement pics went well, my FH and I were both a little nervous at first but our photographer made us feel comfortable and he worked really fast, we'll get proofs in about a week or so, can't wait. I'll post them when we get them.

BTW, where did you get the Clinique trial done? How much was it? Did you have to make an appointment? I'm asking b/c my engagement party is coming up and I'd like to get my makeup done, if it's not too much $$. Thanks!!

Marcela1654- There is no charge for a trial with Clinique, in fact the woman wouldn't even take a tip. This is the second trial I've gone to, the first was with Bobbi Brown and they both said I could come back anytime to get my makeup done if I'm going out somewhere. I 'm sure most makeup counters do this but I got mine done in Westchester where I live. You do need to schedule an appt though so they have time to apply your makeup. Let me know how it goes.

Did you tell them it was for your wedding make up trial? Should I tell them that I want it done for my engagement party? Sorry for so many questions

Don't be sorry ask as many questions as you want. I would definitely tell them that your interested in using them for your wedding, just make sure to make the appt as soon as possible to guarantee that you'll get it done the day of your party. The other cool thing is that you'll get to see what the makeup looks like in photos, make sure you take lots of pictures the day of your party.

By the way I noticed your getting married at Floral Terrace my FH cousin got married there about 2 yrs ago, it's a really beautiful place, the food was really good also.

Thanks soo much for your help!! I'm going to go on Friday to a Macy's that close to me and talk someone at the Clinique counter. I'll let you know how it goes!!

V&S03: I went to Macy's today and spoke with a woman at Clinique. She said to call in a few weeks and set up a trial a week before my engagement party to see how it goes and then I can set up an appointment for the day of. They also said that there's no charge but that they expect you to buy some stuff. I have no problem with this cause I use Clinique anyway. So, thanks again for your help!!! I'm soo excited now!

That's really good, I'm excited for you. You have to let me know how it comes out. What store are you going to, I'm originally from Queens and will probably try to find someone down there from Clinique to do my makeup since I am getting ready in Queens.

I'm going to the Macy's in Douglaston. I live off of the Francis Lewis Blvd exit of the LIE, so that Macy's is 5-7 mins away. I will let you know how the trial goes. The lady who I spoke to does not go to bride's homes to do their makeup, but she said there are girls there who do. So if you want I'll get the info for you. Let me know!
