So we're driving the other day and we were talking about the dresses and the need to go get fitted since we're hitting the 6 month mark. She proceeds to tell me that she's not going to go get fitted for the dress until April 1st because she doesn't want to shop this month and if she has to go to the mall (where Macy's Bridal is) she'll be tempted to shop.
Ummmm.....I was speechless.
I really don't know how to express to my BM's without sounding like a Bridzilla that it's important to get the dresses ordered within the 6 month mark. I feel like such a B asking them all the time about it. I know it's money and maybe people just don't have the deposit yet, but I'm worrying that the laziness is going to start some issues I'm not ready to deal with.
Any advice??

My only advice it to kick it into bridezilla mode. You need to tell this particular BM that if she waits until April 1 she will have to pay rush shipping charges to get the dress in time for fittings and the wedding.

If it makes you feel any better, I still haven't ordered the BM dresses and I only have 4 months until the wedding.
But it is your day, so don't feel like a B****. They aren't going to care in the same way that you do so make sure you stay on top of them!

I say get Bridezilla on her @ss... this is what it is and she has to go!! My girls went last yr in May.. yes last yr for an Aug. 06 wedding. Thats just what it was and they had to do it.
My sister was even worse, she wanted these dresses from Watters that were gonna be discontinued, so we ordered ours 2 yrs before her wedding. So 6 months is nothing for her to ***** about!!

Why don't you offer to go with her to the fitting and then take her away to lunch outside of the mall so she doesn't get the urge to shop? If you let her know how important it is to order the BM dresses at the 6 month mark, I'm sure she'll understand.

My bm is refusing to pick a dress (i offered a choice) until the end of this month. She insists that her bridal shop in virginia assured her the dress would be in for the initial fitting by june....but it makes me nervous-- I decided that if the dress isnt in- then she is out...

FH told one of my BMs (FSIL) that if she didnt call get her measurements done by a certain date then she isnt in the wedding...no IFs, ANDs, or BUTTs about it!!! She ended up calling in her info on THE DAY they were due. But hey, at least they are done. You gotta get nasty with some of them, unfortunately!

Just tell her that you need to get measured now. All the girls are going, and the shop needs a certain time period for the dresses to come in. If you really explain this to her, I am sure she will understand. IF not, well you might have to get nasty.
