Had my bachelorette party yesterday!

It was so much fun

Me, my sister (MOH) and 2 closest friends (BMs) got picked up by a limo in the morning, then picked up my FSIL on the way out East, and stopped off at 4 of the vineyards out on the North Fork. Because of the overcast, the weather kept a lot of the tourists away, so it was perfect. It was still warm, we could sit outside and listen to live music with our wine, cheese and crackers and there weren't many crowds. I did see a few other limos with bride-to-be's, most of them wearing tiaras, crowns or halios! LOL

Then in the late afternoon we headed back to Nassau, dropped FSIL off (she had other plans) and the four of us came back to my place to relax for a few....then my FH and his friend (BM) came home and we all went out to Don Juan's for Mexican food.

Not the smartest idea in retrospect, considering we had been drinking wine and hurricanes all day in the limo We still had a great time - for dessert, they ordered me the bachelorette special, which consisted of a huge carrot cut to the shape of a man's manlihood and 2 scoops of ice cream on the side Then the wait staff got me and FH up and we had to dance with each of them while a marchari (sp?) band played live music in the background. It was so cute.

So that's about it! Not your traditional b-party but I loved what my friends all did for me, and we had a great time :)

Next weekend - my bridal shower!!!

sounds like fun. not every bachelorette party has to be the naked man thing.

No, seriously, since my sister lives out of state, I didn't want her to come all the way here and hide from me, just for the shower. Then as soon as I would see her, I'd know anyway. I was never too big on surprises anyway.....I'm a registry-peeker too! LOL

Teri, thaou sounds like a wonderful day! I am not into the whole male stripper thing either. I will probably do something during the day and then at night we will go bar hopping. Sounds like you enjoyed yourself!

Glad you had a great time. I wasn't into the stripper thing either, until I went to my friend's bachelorette part a couple of months ago. They hired the hottest stripper I've ever seen - I couldn't believe how good looking he was! And it was really funny, because we weren't expecting it and all the girls were speechless for a few minutes - we just didn't know what to do or say. We are usually running from the stripper, and this time we wanted to run TO him...

Marlnes - that doesn't happen too often! Sometimes those strippers aren't too good looking!! LOL
