Ughh I knew this was going to happen. One of my friends and her husband cant make the wedding because of family illness. While I obviously understand, I'm definitely sad she cant make it and now I'm not sure what to do about seating. I had her at a table of 8 and now since they arent coming it changes to a table of 6...do you think I should leave it at 6 or try to make it a table of 8? Is 6 too little for a table? TIA!

If you have another table of 9 or 10 then I might try to even it out, but if every other table is evenly divided then no. I'd leave it as is. 6 isn't that bad and I don't think anyone will notice.

I would leave it, or just tryand add 2 people to a table of 8 , which you could then get rid of the orginal table of 6.
If it were me this close to the day, I wouldn't stress that at all. I would leave the table as is...things like this are bound to happen. Just don't let it rattle you!

I went through this the entire week of my wedding with people cancelling all week. I kept trying to even it out. On the night of the wedding we ended up having several no-shows who never even called to cancel (several being over 5!). My point is that all of the switching around I did that week didn't end up making a bit of difference b/c with the no-shows we had lots of uneven tables. No one even noticed, especially not me. So don't worry about it, it's not going to make a bit of difference!
