Had my first fitting yesterday...how weird! It was kind of cool to see how the dress is REALLY going to look...AND I lost some weight so they have to take it in! The downside is that it's costing TWICE as much as they quoted me. Gah! But there is no alternative...they've got me. What else can I do??
The other downer is that I had to go alone. BUT for my second fitting next month my MOH is coming AND my mom is flying down from NY!! Yay!

Congrats! What a great feeling to have accomplished your weight loss!! the extra money doesn't matter when you feel good about yourself!

Hey Alison! HOORAY, wasn't it exciting?? i am so sorry you had to go alone! I totally would have met you there! Listen, if you have anything else like this and don't want to go alone just call me!!
i know exactly how you feel. since all the fam is in NY and BMs all over the country, i went alone to do the veil and the shoes and lots of things down here. i felt like such a schm--- trying on veils by myself in the dressing room. i even asked the sales lady to come in and tell me what she thought! bummer. but very glad that you had your fitting and that your close ones will be there next time!

Thanks. It was WEIRD, mostly. I'm glad my mom is going to be able to come to the next one. But I will keep your offer in mind, Jo...you better be at my bachelorette party, btw!
Oh, and I have no photos from the fitting...there was no one there to take them! But if you like I can post a pic of me in my dress from another time...
