totally freaked out on FH the past 2 days (wedding stress and PMS all rolled into one!)
His mom keeps adding people to the guest list...alreayd too many people!! ;I was married once before and had lots of people and had a miserable time...
he is so understanding and reassures me tha it will be okay and it wont be so crowded and taht a lot of people we invite wont be coming anyway..
I said some horrible things..(not directed at him) He is so wonderful..told me its okay and I think he figured it was 'that time of the month' and just let i go..i still feel horrible that i had to put him through it...although it was only for a short time. How did i get so lucky?! I feel so bad...
havfe any of you melted down yet? i have 3 months to go...and doing these invites are really getting me stressed...LOL

I completely understand - The meltdowns started for me in July-invitations too. You're right on track!

Most of my 'bridezilla' moments centered around the guestlist... I wouldn't worry about it, I am sure he understands... just be sure to apologize and verbalize that it wasn't directed at him.

whew....so glad to know i'm on track! I think ihve to stop apologizing and just move on. I just feel so bad because i'm generally so level headed.
So funny..most often the bride wants MORE guests..and i just want the list shortter...go figure!
so what will trigger the next meltdown???

I wanted shorter too but it wasn't the guestlist that was the problem.
What will trigger the next meltdown???? Sometimes its not what, its who.

I understand so very well! The invites were the most stressful part of this wedding planning process. I love the person doing them--that is the only part keeping me calm. Just take a deep breath and relax--that part is almost over. I am sending mine out next week and I can't wait.

Big hugs! It's ok as long as you've straightened things out with FH. I know mine takes it all in and just tries to make me feel better about it all...even when I'm being crabby.
Guest lists are the worst. Mine started at 150 and ended with a list of 250! My parents are paying for the majority of the reception so I had to compromise a lot with the list to include people my mom wanted there. I fought and stressed at first, but realized that my parents have done soooooooo much for me over the years that I shouldn't make too much of a fuss about it. I know they just want as many people as possible to share in all our happiness. I did have to put my foot down at times and I even threatened to just not send any invitations over 250 without telling them (that was a little childish of me...but I think it helped them understand that I was at my limit lol) But that's my situation...from reading the boards it doesn't always feel that other brides have the same situation unfortunately.
There will be other stresses...hopefully not to the extent of a 'melt down'. Just make sure your FH is behind you and that you two are a strong team. Mine has been my saving grace and voice of reason especially with the guest list and financial aspects.
Good luck! Breathe! Vent as much as you need to on the boards. It'll all be over so fast that none of this stuff we stress over will be worth it in the end

We fight every 2 days.. so yes, it happens to all of us.. except my FH is also PMSing and wedding stressing.. so it's like 2 bulls wearing red.

This morning was mine. I have my first fitting, make-up trial and hair trial today and Im nervous. I miss my parents who have both passed. I am still worrying about paying for this thing. I want to lose more weight. I have my period so when I drove FH to work this morning I was not a happy person. And I want no's and I dont think we are getting any.

OMG.. his mother just called me to tell me she can cut the list if it makes me feel uncomfortable. Such drama!!! all from my emotional PMS meltdown last night.
FH must have felt bad and called her...god I love him!!
she offered to cut her list...not sure if i should let her...

yes..i thnink FH and i will start making a B list tonight...even if we do end up inviting all 240 people...at least it wont be all at once and i may feel better about it

I had my first real meltdown over invitations too! FH and I had to fill out a form with our information (date, time, etc.) so our proofs could me made. I was explaining this to FH but he totally wasn't listening, he thought the form they had sent us was the proof, and was going on and on about what a shoddy company I picked (and this was after he told me he didn't care about the invitations!)...
Well I freaked out on him. Big time. I can't say he didn't deserve it though for not listening

I have had several melt-downs! And, to top it all off, we have had some bad things happen to us this past week. The stress keeps building! We are only human and we can only take so much before we hit our limit! So, don't worry, it is completely normal!

Thanks again!! i am feeling better...apparently FH told me he does not want q huge wedding either!! nice for him to speak up now!? We decided to make a B list and only invite 200 people and after we get a lot o 'no's' we will consider adding more. he is going to call his parentsw today to see if they can knock thier lsit down..(seems abit sill to me that his parents friends constitutes more people than my entire family!!). AND did i mention thaqt we are paying for this ourselves??
anyway...we will see what happens...its all his damn brother's fault for setting the bar so high when he got married a few years ago..loll. why do people thinkl their wedding MUST be huge to be good?
