Had my first session of Pre Marital Counseling last night and....
I survived!!!!![]()
It was great, very relaxing and refreshing. It was only the first session, but it was definetely an icebreaker.
I was nervous at first because I did not know what to expect.
I almost got tearyeyed- when the Pastor asked FH what he loved about me and he was able to rattle off so many things. To hear him say this out loud to someone else really made me feel good. Of course when he asked what he did NOT like about me, that was not as pleasant, but it was ok because I knew what he was going to say anyway-![]()
The Pastor stressed compromise, communication, and putting each other first. He also said that he often sees people going into marriage without knowing that you have to work at it and that you cannot give up at the first sign of trouble.
He was also amazed at how long we have been together- 10 years- longer than some marriages.
Well I have 3 more to do.
