Had my make up trial on Saturday

and I hated it!! She made me look like a clown with all bright pink colors. I was soo unhappy with it. To top it off I had a reaction to the make up (i think) on my eyes and they swelled so much I couldnt see out of them. Now I have to continue with my search

I have them on my camera at home. I didnt get them developed yet. Almost dont want too. SHe took pictures on her digital camera though.

Yeah I said that I wasnt really feeling all the pinks and she told me it was the only thing I could wear beause I would look orange otherwise! I dont know how much truth is in that.

Who did you have your trial with? that doesn't sound right for her to tell you that you would look orange!

It was the lady that does my moms haris daughter. Supposodly shes a make up artist??

what kind of makeup artist would tell you that pink is the only thing that will make you not look orange!

Oh I am so sorry! Luckily there are really talented artists out there who will listen to you. That's what trials are for.

Oh no...so sorry. There are a ton of amazing makeup artists in NY. You will find the right one.

We all have a bad experience with one thing or another... keeping looking.

I would call the person and find out what kind of make-up she used- just to make a note of what you had a reaction to.

She sounds like she needs to work on her 'chairside manner' though.

There is a place called Fashion Shots in Mt Sinai that does makeup and hair beautifully. They did my friend's.

I am having my hair done there on Feb 12 for my friend's wedding.
