had my shower, BUT!!!

just had my shower this past saturday....i wasn't really surprised since my wedding is less than a month away....as soon as my cousin said she's taking me to a 'birthday party' i knew!!!

anyway, had LOTS of fun...BUT i was sooooo nervous...i couldn't eat, i was stressing and my hands were shaking....i guess i'm not cut out to be the center of attention....lots of the women i'd never met before since they were distant relatives of my FH.....and i'm sure i was being 'checked out'

did anyone else feel this way for their shower/engagement party??? i have been clam so far, but now i think i am going to be such a mess on my wedding day i will probably pass out from anxitey as i walk down the aisle!!!!!

Mine was Saturday as well and maybe it was because I knew all about it but I wasn't nervous. I don't really like to get gifts so that part was a little awkward for me. Other than that I enjoyed it. I have been so busy that I don't get to spend as much time with my friends as I would like.

I was totally surprised at my shower so at first I felt like my face must have been so red. I'm not used to being the center of attention. But then I relaxed. Everyone was so good to me and so much work and planning went into it. I think at first I was nervous because of the shock.
I think on the wedding day the hardest part will be walking down the aisle but after that it should be easier. Remember, everyone is there because of you and your FH. They are your family and friends so don't feel too scared. These people are all happy for you. Try to relax and enjoy the day because everyone says it flies by so quick.

I was nervous for mine too...but don't worry. You made it through the shower...you'll make it through the wedding...

And at the wedding, you'll have hubby next to you the whole time so you'll be ok.

So glad to hear your shower went so well...I haven't had mine yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to be a nervous wreck. Try not to worry about the wedding day nerves - you will hopefully just be floating on a cloud!!

My shower was Saturday too! JENHOS we are getting married the same day also.... tick tock! I was somewhat surprised. I was suposedly going to my friend's shower. Then when I got there (Davenport Press) I saw my FI's mom's car in the lot. I was still surprised though. I was shaking for a good half hour. It was great though. It was kind of weird to have the whole day all about me! After the shower was my bachelorette party too. Needless to say, yesterday I was a waste product. So glad we all had such a great weekend!

I was very nervous at my shower since I am not used to being the center of attention either. I thought the wedding I would be just as nervous, but I will tell you, I wasnt. You put so much into planning your day that you want to take it in as much as you can that there is no time to be nervous. I was very nervous while getting ready though before the church. I think your feelings are normal and you will be fine at the wedding!

i had my shower this past weekend too and was very nervous and shaking and the whole bit- but thats what drinks are for- after i had a couple i started to have a blast!!!

It was a busy weekend for showers! Now all of you have to find a place to keep all that great stuff!
My shower was a few weeks ago & I'm still putting stuff away!
The hardest part of the shower for me was realizing how fast the day went-now I'm so afraid that the wedding will fly by...............I know it will.
