Had my shower on Friday night
Although I knew where and when the shower was, I was completely overwhelmed by the whole thing - everyone did a great job
Here are a few details
- the theme was wine and candles - everyone was asked to bring a bottle of wine for us to enjoy in our first year, and the favor was a candle.
- the food was catered by one of my absolute favourite restaurants Pancho's Cantina in Island Park, and because we are such regulars, and my MOH sometimes waitress's there, the owner included 3 gallons of margarita's too
- instead of BINGO, my MOH did 'juicy Tidbits' People wrote juicy tidbits on a piece of paper, MOH read them out as I was opening gifts and I had to guess who wrote them - it was really really funny
- My MOH (who just happens to be a graphic artist) also made a unique sign in book, guests had to write how they knew us, advice for us and draw a picture of themselves.
It really was a great shower, and I think the fact that it was 7.00 pm on a Friday night was appreciated by a lot of people
I also got some awesome gifts and great wine
