Had my shower today...

It was a really good time, my bridal party and Mom did a great job of planning and I got a lot of nice things.
The crazy thing is though, but I feel really sad right now. I dont know if its because its something you look forward to for so long and its over or what, but as soon as I got home, I wanted to cry. I told my FH but he didnt seem to get it.
I really hope that I dont feel like this after my wedding.
Did anybody else that already had their shower feel this way after?? Or am I just being over sensitive?

your not at all.. after all my 'parties' i felt like that.. and once the wedding was over it was a little sad but we are on to more adventures like buying a home and trying to concieve (hopefully sooner than later ) im glad you had a great time... when you get upset,, look at all your nice gifts!!!

Chin up sweetie, I had my shower, I felt disappointed that it ended so quickly. That is why you will have to enjoy every single minute of your wedding b/c everyone keep saying it goes by too quickly.

I read your post again. I think that alot of people feel the way you do. I think for me it was my shower that I waited for is over. It almost felt like the beginning of the end of the planning. Does that make sense?

I bet I will feel the same way. I cant believe how fast this engagement is going...but remember the wedding is next, it will be an amazing start to the rest of your life with your husband!

I have been warned by more than one person that I will get after-wedding blues. I mean this whole year has been about my wedding, it dominates discussions, my time, I get to pick out beautiful gifts and try on gowns. What more can a girl ask for? And then POOF in a few hours it is over. I am very excited about my honeymoon but I know when I get home it will be a bit sad. I think if we prepare for the feelings they are easier to deal with.
I totally understand how you are feeling. Even after I ordered my gown I felt 'I will never try on wedding dresses ever again.' That is a sad thought in a way.

One thing that will help is to play with all of your new stuff.

Its funny because even though planning is sooo stressful at times, I do feel like it is the beginning of the end and it is such a downer in a way. But I am really looking forward to the 'big' day and also becoming a wife!! and hopefully soon after a homeowner and a mommy!! Thanks again for your kind words, they really helped.
ps - Yes!! I cant wait to play with my new toys!!
pss - Jennbaby...no it wasnt a surprise, unfortunately I have a wacky work schedule so they had to tell me so I could take off.
