Had my shower yesterday!!
It was the most amazing day - one of the best ever! I cannot get over the love and care and WORK that went into it.
It was at a restaurant called Pastel's in Mahwah, NJ (kinda far from LI) & the food was amazing. They gave out favors - lotion, shower gel, a shower poofy thing & refresher spray wrapped in sullifane, & my mom made homemade chocolate heart/dove shaped lollipops.
The highlights included a roas SUNG by my future mother-in-law to the tune of 'Dreidle Dreidle Dreidle' (am i spelling that right?) and it was all about making decisions (and my inability to do so, especially about various wedding things). It was very funny and very touching also. She had the room in tears by the end. Also, my bridesmaids put together a newlywed game. They called my FH and asked him questions, and then at the shower they asked me the same ones and I had to write my answers on big cardstock & his were already printed. I got them ALL right....everyone was very impressed ;-) He also followed up every answer with something very mushy and sweet. I was completely in tears by the end.
Anyway - 5 days to go!! I can't believe it. One more day of work tomorrow & then it's time to count down!
