Had my surprise shower!

I NEVER thought I would be surprised, but I totally was. My FH had me 100% convinced we were on our way to a restaurant to pick up gifts from our friends mom on our way to a wedding. There really was a wedding for a friend of his, which I had filled out the RSVP that we were going - and he opened up before it was mailed and changed it! Even when we walked in the restaurant and I saw one of my friends, I thought what a coincidence that she's having lunch here! Very cool to be that surprised, my BMs and FH did a great job. I got much stuff that was on my registry - I had had that target problem, but a lot of people found out before hand and went and returned stuff and bought other things. Other than three food processors, two crockpots, and a vacuum thing I didn't want, that's all I had to return. My favorite things were an embroidered pillow with our names, date and song title, and whatever else I didn't register for, like a handpainted vase and pitcher. I got several homemade baskets with bathroom stuff and pasta stuff that were also nice. Problems - that my mom drove my BM crazy with seating arrangements, that I didn't invite enough people from FH fathers side, and was told this by his fathers wife AT my shower, and that's about it. All in all it was a great day!

thats great that you were surprised!! Were you dissappointed not going to the wedding though?

wow! your FH really went all out to surprise you!
Thats was so smart of him to think that one up!
I have a feeling I will not be surprised at all. I'll be expecting it especially if we go somewhere on the weekend (daytime) to lunch in a restaurant, we never do that!

That is great that they got you jpsgirl...I am with jennbaby, I don't think they will be able to surprise me since we never do luncheons or anything on the weekend, it normally consists of food shopping and cleaning!

It is driving me crazy though as to when it can be, and I want to be prepared with the right outfit, LOL! We have a wedding September 7th as well, maybe my FH did what your FH did to you, not sure though.
