I went to Victor Goldman, advertises on this site under Dance instructors. His company is Cooperative Partners.
He is great. So easy going, very easy to understand, very supportive. I highly recommend him. He is going to work with us to make our first dance great.

Sounds like fun! I'm so sorry that I couldn't convince FH to go. I think I can hold my own-it's his two left feet that I'm worried about

I'm just going to hope for some sort of divine inspiration for our first dance LOL!!

Michele, can you please tell me where he is, and if you don't mind how much. Thanks!

Sounds like a lot of fun. We are a little worried about our first dance because FH says I always try to lead.

He works in the Port Jefferson area at 2 studios. He is a dance teacher by night, Clincal social worker by day.
He charges $70/hour, but honestly you only need a few classes to learn a nice first dance. You can take more lessons if you want to get fancy.

Anybody know of an instructor in Nassau or Western Suffolk county? I'm in Syosset and Pt Jeff is too far. Thanks

That is so funny you mentioned Vick - I have my second lesson with him tonight! I went about a month ago (he has been on vacation for the past few weeks). He is great - I didn't think anyone could get my fiance to dance. My mom convinced me to try it and I am glad we decided to becaust it really is a lot of fun. It probably helps that Vick's primary occupatoin is a counselling - that must be why he is so supportive!
