Had the best day EVER yesterday -- My Shower!!!
My mom and my BMs threw me the bestest shower EVER yesterday!!! (Once I get more pics sent to me I will be sure the post them!) It was at a restaurant in Manhattan called Divino's and it was a really nice place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really nice.
I feel like the luckiest girl in the world because I have so many wonderful family members and friends who really went above and beyond for my special day! I am getting all teary eyed just thinking about it.. I am such a blubbering baby! lol.. So anyways, onto the good stuff!
I absolutely loved my favors and they were done by one of my BMs (FSIL).. They were mini candy jars with pink and brown M&Ms which is my color scheme. In addition, my mom made a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of my stepfather.
My menus were adorable (and also fit into my color scheme) and they were made by one of my BMs..(Cherish83). We played Bridal bingo but Meg actually re-did the cards to include items I put on my registry only. That made all the difference and I couldn't believe how into the Bingo everyone was!
We also played a game where were wrapped up three people who are getting married soon (My MOH, a BM, and my godmother) in toilet paper to look like a wedding dress and the winning team got a prize. At first I wasn't sure how this was going to go over but everyone loved it! and they made my godmother look like she was wearing an actual dress!!!!!!! I've never seen such handy work in my life.. I will post pics once I get them.
My FSIL went above and beyond with the standard 'make a hat out of ribbons' tradition.. Now only did she make the best hat I have ever seen, she even made a bouquet which looked awesome.. I am sure I have 80 million pics of that! once I get em, I will post.
I got a lot of amazing gifts including my DOJ from my mom, Swarovski toasting flutes (which I didn't register for because although I reallllly wanted them I never even told anyone about it because of the $$$) from a family friend, and some embarrassing lingerie from my MOH.
Overall it was a great day...FH is obsessed with making coffee with the new coffee maker and even though my house now looks like a tornado hit it with all the gifts, all he can think about is making coffee!
I feel so blessed and happy still I can't even be mad at him!
