Not sure how many of you visit the off-topic board...but I couldn't think of a better place to put this. I thought it was hilarious--the story just makes it THAT much funnier (all the teachers should really appreciate the humor).

Oh my, that poor teacher. Once I put notes on the board for my AP class and had to run to a quick 15 minute meeting. The young male teacher subbing for me was right out of school. He was so embarassed when I accidentally abreviated the word 'assassination'.
My board said, 'What was the significance of Franz Ferdinand's ***?'
The kids cracked up though
