My FH aunt is a hairdresser and will be doing my hair for the wedding. She thought it would be a good idea if she brought either 1 or 2 of her assistants to help with the whole bridal party's hair, just to make it easier for everyone. I was gonna get this keychain from Things Remembered for her as part of a thank you, since she LOVES butterflies and will love it. Now, should I give his aunt and the assistants money as a tip, or just the aunt and have her distribute the money, or what do you think and how much??? I don't know these other people and they are invited to the wedding with a guest, since they will be down here, so I don't want to give them a lot of money - what do you think??

hmm...you dont know them, but you are inviting them to the wedding and w/guests? is his aunt doing this as a gift to you? bc if she is, then she is probably paying the assistants to do the hair herself. the butterfly is cute for the aunt as a little thank you. talk to your aunt beforehand to see if she expects $$ and how much.

Re: Hair
One of the assistants I have met once... The reason I would invite them to the wedding is b/c they are driving down from Hartford to do the hair, it's not like they live on Long Island... I'm sure they don't expect money, it was more along the lines of to make it easier for the aunt, so she doesn't have to do 8 people's hair... I know she would never take money for herself, just wasn't sure about what to do with the other two...

Re: Hair
I think a card with a nice tip for their trouble is in order. I say $100 each. If you had to pay for 8 girls it certainly would be a lot more than that. Even though they are doing it to help you aunt, they are still doing you a great service.

I would definetely give them tips. they are driving down and doing a bunch of people's hair.

Re: Hair
Thanks for all the advice but as it comes down to it, apparently I'm gonna have to find somebody else to do their hair. It's becoming too much of an issue of them complaining they have to do the hair, when I didn't even ask for them to do it in the first place, so we've decided we'll prolly try to find a professional to do it instead! thanks
