Hi girls, so I have my first hair trial this Saturday and I am super excited. However I am not 100% sure how I want to wear my hair that day. I always have my hair down and it's super long (almost to my belt buckle). I am concerned that wearing it down for the wedding it would be too much and get in the way, even if it was curled. I showed FH a picture of me in a veil with my hair pulled back and he liked my hair up, probably because it's so different than how I wear it every day.
So I guess my questions are:
1) How are you girls wearing your hair? All down, half up, all up?
2) Did you have the chance to try different styles at the trial, or did you show some pictures and try one look?

I haven't had a trial yet but I know I want my hair half up half down with loose flowing curls. My hair will be given a left at the top for some height. My hair is to the middle of my back
I had two trials with different people. I originally wanted half up/half down but I didn't love how that came out. I felt like my hair looked so dry and limp from all the product that was in it.
So my next trial I tried something that got all the hair off my shoulders but wasn't piled on top of my head and liked it much better. She showed me pics of different hairstyles she's done on girls and I picked what I liked. Plus, with a July wedding, I realized I probably want all the hair off my neck if possible!

Lori, I agree, I think I want it all up just so I don't have to worry about curls getting limp. I guess we will see what she says on Saturday. I am going to ask her to do something all down and then see if she can sweep it up easily enough for me to get an idea of both.

i have very long straight hair and it doesnt hold a curl, i always wear my hair up so i plan on wearing it up also for my wedding.. so its off my neck and i dont have to worry of it looking ratty by the end of the night

Good luck on your trial!! My hair is also long (its by my lower back, but higher than my waist) and when I went for my trial, I tried a half up & on the side with curls. I'm still debating on which I will do, but I plan on doing another trial as we get closer to the wedding to decide. I think you should try asking her to try at least 2 styles, just so you can see her work

I have short, thin hair so I had extensions put in at my trial. They gave my up-do some volume which I desperately needed. I chose an all-up style because I want to dance and didn't want to sweat and cause my hair to frizz.

My hair trial was 3 hours long and we tried a MILLION hair styles... it was AMAZING! I did a bunch of different up do's because I feel like I know what my hair looks like down and curly and I wanted to try something different. I have never liked the way anyone put up my hair, so it was a good test to see her talents too. There are so many styles on pinterest and on the knot.... look around you will find something!
