Hair and make up

I am in the process of researching vendors to do hair and make up for myself and the wedding party and am kind of shocked at the prices! At this point, I have accepted the excessive pricing that the word 'bride' seems to always add to things, but I am feeling so bad about what it will cost for my BMs. They know that I don't care if they get their hair and make up done professionally, but most of them have told me that they would like to do so. But, I think they will freak out if I tell them that a hair blow out is $50 and if they want an updo, it can get as high as $100!! Or more! Part of it is that a lot of them are from out of town and they don't get NY and LI prices, but even I am finding it a bit crazy and I am lifelong NYer. Is it possible to find someone that will do hair for less then $65 a pop? Make up for less then that too? Or do I just need to accept this and move on to the 5 billion other things I need to do? Any suggestions? I am getting married in Jericho, but am so unfamiliar with the area (I live in Brooklyn), which is making this search even more difficult.

Unfortunately, the prices are around what you said. As a BM, I usually pay $75 for updo's, a little over $100 for the bride.

For make up, I used Jillian from Gorgeous Faces, she discounts her price if you have a large bridal party. She is a vendor on here - call her for prices. She is amazing!!
