how much are/have you paid for makeup and hair? im not sure if im making the right decision. im having a makeup/hair trial for $150 and day of will be $300. is that to much or average?

I am paying 120 for hair, and 175 for makeup.
Honestly, I had a little bit of sticker shock with the price of the makeup but I loved the way it came out at my trial, and I absolutely loved my MU Artist.
To me, it is worth it. It is your one day to look absolutely amazing.. and quite honestly, at this point what the heck difference does an additional $50 make!! Its like pennies compared to everything else that I am spending!

That seems really high. My make up is 150 day of. My hair is 160 day of but I put down a deposit of 75

my mom is a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown in Saks Huntington and she does brides and other special events all the time...i don't think that if the girl comes to the store for the trial, that she charges...policy is just to buy something...like a lip liner and gloss or something like that....for day of, it depends on how far she has to travel, but i believe she generally charges 125-150....it also depends on how many girls in the party will need makeup also...i'm PRETTY SURE that's the case...if you want something more definite, fm me and i'll ask her

I'm paying a lot for make-up ($325) but it was the one area I was willing to splurge on. Hair will probably be about $200 for me on the day of.
My make-up trial was $125 & hair trial was $85.

I am aslo paying a lot for hair and makeup. $500 total...but i am a makeup artist so I am very particular about my makeup. Also I wanted very very dramatic.

I am a make up artist and work in a salon as an esthetician. That seems a bit high it reasonable if they are going to you but if you are doing it at their salon or location too high!

My salon did a package $280, trail hair and makeup (with lashes) blowout for my bparty or rehersal dinner and day of hair and make-up. It was perfect. I had my trial done before my final fitting and got the full effect. I tipped my girl over average because it was such a good package.

Sivana Salon in St. James. My girl's name is Jessica Nelson - she rocks. But I have never seen anyone leave that salon looking bad - all of my girls (including my Mom, MIL, and my Grandmother & GIL haha) were there.
