Hair and Make up Home or Salon

HEllo,

Just finding out who is staying home and having the artists come to you and who is going to a salon for the morning of for hair and make-up. I have always wanted to go to salon. It just seemed fun and exciting to get out of the house. But I am finding that a lot of the artists come to your location and don't have a salon.....

we are going to a salon the day of the wedding for a few reasons.

1. I have a bunch of girls and this way we can all get done at or around the same time without having people waiting around.
2. I have found that it is MUCH more reasonably priced to go to a salon for hair and makeup rather than having an artist come to you. Originally I was searching this site for people to do it but decided to look elsewhere and found the prices are MUCH better.
3. I will drive myself crazy if i am at home all day before the wedding so i am excited to be getting out!

I am having someone come to me. I think traveling to the nail salon and back home is going to be stressful enough for me! lol

Im going to have them come to me, I dont want to have to go anywhere that day, but to the wedding itself

I had them come to me. I didnt want to rush around that morning. I was afraid of god forbid getting stuck in traffic and then rushing like crazy to get back home and then being all stressed and flustered. This happened to me for my e-party, and when i got home i basically only had time to throw my dress on, and get out of there quickly and DH had to rush like crazy to get to the place. We got there with the cp's, favors and everything 10-15 mins before the party started so it was crazy to get it all together.

Personally i loved being home the day of. I got to stay in comfortable clothes and just relax at home. But i am a person who can get annoyed from traffic or having to rush so i didnt want anything to change my mood lol. My grandmother was also able to be in the house and watch me getting ready. Plus i did need to be home bc they delivered our personal flowers that morning, so if you do go to a salon make sure someone is home when the flower delivery person shows up. We had alot of food at home so people were able to eat and just hang out. Had my music on, and the whole environment was very calm.

Also i really wanted pics of me getting ready, so it was good to do it at home for me bc photographer was able to come to the house and take pics of me getting hair and make up done and a few other type of pics. Videographer had to go to DH's house to film him getting ready but he surprised me by showing up and filming my dress and shoes. So for me personally it worked out, i knew i had a very long day, our wedding ended at 1:30am and knew we wouldnt get to the hotel until almost 3am. So i made sure my morning was very calm and relaxing.
