I just read the thread below about Kristen's price increase. I have an appt with her this Sat. for a trial and I was going to her because of her reasonable prices. Now, I'm not so sure. I am going to call and confirm the prices and I am going to have to cancel if she does charge that much. I just can't afford it.
Am I the only one who thinks these makeup and hair prices are ridiculous??? Where do they get off charging hundreds of dollars for an hour's worth of work?? I just don't get it at all.
its definitely a skill that you pay for...I know that I could not do it, nor could any of my friends help me..

I will say this: girls on weddingchannel.com (NY thread) pay hundreds of dollars just for makeup, not to mention hair. I think Kristen's in-salon prices are good. Even her out-of-salon prices for the bride are not bad. What I think is too high is the bridal party hair prices if she comes house. I cannot have my girl's spend $100 on hair, and $100 on makeup. THat is totally unfair. Not sure what I plan to do yet.
