hair and makeup

I know its been asked a bunch of times before but...I had a nightmare last night that it was my wedding day and I had no one to do my hair or makeup. So, I guess its time to start looking into that.

Please recommend who you are using or have used, I'd really appreciate it.

I used Oksana for makeup and Carolyn (from Sabrina and Carolyn) for hair. I loved my makeup and Oksana...liked Carolyn too but my hair, which me (and DH!!) loved, did not stay curly the way it was when she first did it.... they're both vendors here Oksana books early on so email her soon if you're interested...she usually works with Jenn the Hair Genie who is really good also from what I have heard!!

I had my hair done by my regular stylist at NuBest and Co. in Manhasset - Dawn - she did exactly what I wanted and my hair stayed perfect all evening.

My makeup was done by Danielle from the Clinique counter at Macy's in Manhasset. She came to the house and did makeup for me, my mom, and grandmother - she did an amazing job -our makeup looked as fresh at the end of the night as it did in the morning!

Jenn the Hair Genie and Oksana for makeup are doing mine . They are vendors on here - so check them out. :)

Jenn and Oksana did an amazing job on my trial. They have been a pleasure to work with and gave me no hassle about changing the wedding date.

For hair I used DH's moms regualr person. But I had to go to her and she is in Mineola. Don't know if that is somethig that would work for you. if so, FM me. She does amazing hair!!! And its not that expensive!!

For makeup I used Laura D'Angelo from Bobbi Brown at Bloomingdales in Roosevelt Field. free trials! And came to me on the day of. Makeup looked great till the end of the night! Highly recommend!

ETA: If you are getting extensions and/or airbrush makeup, I recommend the Pedala Sisters. They did my friends wedding a couple weeks ago and did a great job!! They are pricey, but she said they were worth it!
