Who did their own hair and makeup- should i even bother- money is kinda tight right now- It was FH's bday yesterday and i'm kinda broke

i had my hair just blown out and i had my trial that day so i figured i might as well utilize the money i'm spending on a trial for something useful ya know. very glad i did it.

I LOVE LAMP!
I had a blow out - but my hair is so thin & straight - by the time i made the 5 minute drive home - it had fallen..

I'm doing my own hair & makeup I didn't have the time to search for a hair & makeup artist.
Whatever you choose you are going to look hot anyway.

i had it done at christie's & co in bayside. I was supposed to get airbrush which was $60 but another make up artist took it to do an event so i did the bare minerals and it was $30 and i also did hair for $40
its up to you though, if you have a friend that is good with this just ask them

I plan on getting both my hair and makeup done for my eshoot. If I do it on my own I wouldnt do such a great job on it, lol

yea I just spoke to my aunt- who is a haridresser- she's going to blow out my hair for me and I'm doing my own makeup- can anyone recommend a good brand that stays well???

I use Bare Escentuals - BUT, I def need blotting papers - my skin gets oily.
I use their Prime Time to create a base for my make-up. That helps even out my skin and makes for a smoother, more flawless application. That totally sounded like a commercial.

My shoot is tomorrow and IM getting my roots died and a little styling. Make-up I can handle myself.

i love lamp!!!
let my epics be a lesson for us all GET YOUR HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE! i had so much makeup on and i straightened my hair for an hour but with the humidity and the bright lights it looks like i was going for a 'natural look' and i hate the way i came out!
then you can see from my trial the difference professional makeup makes!! i wish i had done the trial first i would have definitely done it for the epics!

I got my hair and makeup done for epics. I don't regret it but if you can, maybe you can go to sephora or a makeup counter and have them do it. Buy a lipstick or something that you can use during your photoshoot! That way you can kill two birds with one stone!

If you have your aunt doing your hair, what you can do for make up is go to a department store and do it for free...mac makes you buy like $50 in products but other places there is no requirement to buy anything and if you want you can just buy the lipgloss or something small

I was going to do both hair/makeup trial the day of the shoot cuz I knew I wanted something done. The makeup lady wasnt in the salon that day so I just got my hair done which was perfect for me cuz I really dont know how to do my own hair.

Im not sure what it means, but I like things well lit so I picked the last one.
But, I wouldnt bother doing it! I've seen plenty of girls who look great in their epics who did their makeup/hair themselves. I know Gina's looked awesome and she said she used Bare escentuals and put it on herself.
