any hair and makeup salon recommendations in the forest hills area?

I have been to Spectrym Salon before and I know they do wedding hairstyles and makeup. I haven't used them though for anything other than a haircut, but I did once sit next to a girl getting her done (must have been for a wedding or some other fancy event) and they did a very nice updo with large curls.

'I've been to Spectrym in FH and they've done great haircuts for me. The last time I went though the service was REALLY sub-par. The girl doing my hair made me wait for an hour then she cut my hair but didn't blow dry it...the hair sweeper blow dryed my hair. That's when I decided I wouldn't use them.'
There are many salons in Forest Hills. I was going to check our Aimee's, Micciche, and maybe another in that area. Some girls have recommended Giorgio's but the one in Kew Gardens..not the one in Forest Hills

I get my hair cut in the city but always use Spectrum for special occasions since I live in Queens so its more convenient. The have always done an excellent job and the service has been awesome so its possible that the person on the other board had one bad experiance. I used them for 3 proms, last summer for my brother's wedding and I already made an appointment for my wedding. Certain people do the 'formal' hair styles so if you do make an appointment for a trial tell them what its for. I went to Rosa and she was amazing. But everyone has different experiances.
