Hi, I am new here... I am in search of a hair and make-up person. Can you recommend some so I can start my search??? I read from someone about a woman named paulina....can you possibly give me her phone numer???? Also, has anyone had any experiences with another woman named Elena? Good or bad ones??? I need feedback so I can start calling. I am not from Long Island so I do not know where to start!!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Well, I took the suggestions of most of the girls on this site and used Jacqueline Nicole... she does really nice work. I'm also using Vanessa, the hairdresser that Jacqueline referred... i'll let you know my feedback when I have my trial on the 18th...

Try Jackie from Imakeupyou. She was excellent!!! I really loved my make up. She works with a woman named Margaret who was also excellent. Jackie advertises on this board so give her a call. Her trial was only $30 and she takes that off the price on the day of the wedding if you book her. GOod luck!!!

I had an unreal experience with Pauline, who is who I believe you are talking about.... She does Hair and Make-up and comes to your venue on the day of.... She is based out of Rockville Center and Heather and a few others have used her and loved her if you do a search..... Her phone number is 516-678-8273... Hope this helps.....
On Elena, I have heard mixed reviews... I heard her make-up is great but she doesn't exactly dress appropriately and is rather slow on the day...

I am going to get my hair done at A Touch of TLC in Hempstead they are located at 76 Main Street in Hempstead, NY 11550 their number is 516-414-7178 I know when I did my trail it was only $50. They are really great. Symone did my trail but they have lots of stylist in there. She does not believe in charging a lot of trails because they believe that their work will speak for them.
