Either I am really fussy or I am just going to the wrong sites...
Please recommend sites for places to get sparkly beautiful things... Im looking for bold, vintage-y pieces for my hair and a similar necklace. If you have any pics, thats totally awesome, please just post where you found them as I am at a complete loss...

Re: Hair clips, DOJ, brooches etc
can you even describe the hairclip a bit?
I tried 1928 and nothing was really catching my eye or was a bit too dainty for me, they do have really pretty stuff though

I justed posted the same thing. In the same boat at you. I have a rose champagne dress so I have to find something that won't clash too. So far I'm only left

Re: Hair clips, DOJ, brooches etc
ugh, that is out of my range and i keep trying to rationalize how i could afford it but I think i need to say screw it.
The problem with all the big jewelry sites is it takes FOREVER to find stuff.... brooches that look big and bold end up being tiny inm the detail pictures and what looks like silver is really gold etc etc.
i'm just looking for something that has a vintagey feel or even a bold feel. texture, big, like at least 2 inches, and not super super light (i have light blonde hair so it gets lost if its all shiny and bright)
jewelry? chunky, funky, not delicate and a choker (nothing wrong, just wrong for me)

Honestly, I've started searching some vintage/consignment shops. I've found some really nice pieces. Obviously you'll pay for it (especially in a consignment shop), but you can ifnd some great stuff...

i actually just checked it... i really dig your hair clip thing (along with the rest of your wedding, stunning!) - where was that from?

Re: Hair clips, DOJ, brooches etc
I got mine from a bridal store but they have the SAME one online at hair.comesthebride.com for almost half the price. It looks huge on the site but because my hair was very full it blended in really well. Its bendy so you can twist it to fit your hairstyle.
