Hair coloring help please!!

Hair coloring help please!!

I have dark brown hair w/ highlights. I went last night to get my roots touched up for the wedding and the girl convinced me to even it out and put in lowlights too. The lowlights are really dark and match my natural color (which I hate) and made the hightlights look darker, making the overall color just darker and blah. It doesn't look BAD but it's definitely darker than I wanted for my wedding. I'm so upset. i want to go in and ask them to fix it but I'm not sure what I'm asking for. Has anyone had lowlights lightened up? Or do they just put more highlights in? I don't know what to do.

I never had low lights put in but they would prob add more highlights. I know from experience once I get my hair colored within a week it already lightens up. Go back if you don't like it they can fix it!

Call immediately today and tell them you are unhappy. They may just fix it for you (i know my salon usually does that). I am sure she can throw in some highlights to balance it out.

HTH!

Thanks. I'm just so mad at myself too for not just telling her to leave it and just touch up the roots like I asked.

Im not sure how they fix it but I would def go in there and tell them your not happy! They have to fix it....they better anyway because that would be bad business if they didnt!

Good luck!

I would call them and tell them you are not happy and ask them to tone up your highlights so they are all one color and match.

definitely call them and ask for them to fix it....i'm a little peeved at your hairdresser! why would she suggest playing around with your hair a couple of weeks before your wedding?? not a time to 'experiment'! grrrrrrr......sorry.....didn't mean to get upset for you!

I know right! I told her I'm getting married and don't want anything different right now. She was like oh nooo don't worry it won't be different it will be great.
I don't know why I don't listen to my instincts

I'm going back later today. Hopefully I like the results

good luck!!

and you should totally tell her

'rule of thumb....when someone tells you they're getting married 3-4 months before the big day, that's when you experiment....not two weeks before....AND unsolicitated (sp?) experimenting!!!'

let us know what happens!
