so i usually get my hair highlighted...but my roots are showing and a: i don't have the cash right now to get my hair done and b: i'm kind of liking the dark roots. so can i color it light brown and still get highlights in the spring?

i wouldn't see why not..
BUT..if you have blonde highlights and you are going to color brown over them...you may get lighter streaks of brown in your hair where the highlights were

i am but as i get older and i'm not in the sun, it gets darker, so my hair gets 'enhancements' but i'm a dirty golden blonde but i get mousey!
