Hair cut...

Hair cut...

So I grew my hair out looooong for the wedding...its like down past the girls! When I do it (blow it out nicely, use rollers, etc), it can look pretty awesome...but usually for work I blow it out straight and pull it back...blahhh.

So, I think I'm gonna do my hair really nice for the next week or so...and then CUT IT....like to just a few inches below my shoulders...

Thoughts?!

i totally am thinking the same thing. my hair is SO LONG and looked great at the wedding but it is becoming a big hassle and a short professional do would go over well at work, but i KNOW im going to miss the LOOK when i chop it off.

I would-everyone needs change...as long as it is not a 'mom haircut'

Missing the look is my concern too!!! Think I'll sit tight for a bit....

MERRY, lets get our hair cut together when we decide to do it...kay?!!?

And sidenote - your hair is MUCH better long than mine!!!

oh good lord, a mom haircut doesn't sound too hot - not quite the look I'm going for! Gonna try hard to avoid that!

ahhhh, the infamous 'newlywed chop!'... if it's something you want, I say go for it!

I love my hair long - i chopped 12 inches off 4 years ago and donated it, but i've grown it ever since and don't intended to part with that much again lol

I am longing for a more manageable length but i know i will go into major withdrawal .. i grew out my 'side bangs' for this wedding and I'm kinda eager to get them back lol.

Heather lets make an appointment together i want to go in december.. i usually go on a saturday... !!! no mom haircuts!!!

ps @ byrne2b - you do the curling iron or curlers or both? i am dying to have a curly do that doesnt take forever. HELP!

Re: Hair cut...

So remember my hair at my shower???

For that look, use a curling iron - it's actually kinda quick! Dry your hair...doesn't have to be a neat blow out. Then spray segments of your hair with a fine mist spray and iron.

Really mega large rollers are another option that I like. I'll let me hair get like 90 percent dry naturally and then I'll roll them up (not a great project if Kieran is home - hahaha) and finish getting ready or doing what I have to do with the rollers in!

and yes, its a hair cut date in DEC...not too short and DEF not mom-like!! We'll do the newlywed chop together!

Re: Hair cut...

I love my long hair and would never cut it but I see a bunch of my friends with cute, short haircuts and wish I was brave enough to chop it off.

Maybe you could wait until the summer and get a fresh cut for the warm weather. Less hair in humid weather would be a plus.

Definitely doing the same thing!! I just had an itch on my back and I realized my hair is almost down to the small of my back!! I can't deal with doing it! My birthday is next weekend so I think that's going to be my happy birthday to me!
