My hair has never had a style to it. It's always been just one length. The thing is that my hair is long, straight and thin. I was thinking of getting long layers cut into my hair, but I'm not sure what long layers look like? I'm scared to death of getting my hair cut. I usually have someone just trim it for me. I thought the long layers would help it look thicker and nicer. Does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like? Thanks!

I had long layers cut into my hari after the wedding just for SOMETHING other than my usual BLAH. I really don't think it looks much different most of the time but it dries easier & faster and looks nicer when I flat iron it.
Go for it ... the first time she added them, she did it so subtle that by the next trim, I told her to angle/layer more.

My straight limpish hair looked its absolute BEST when I had long layers in it...And I had it highlighted. That was one of my better do's...

I would do long layers with angles to your chin. At this length, it can still go in a ponytail, but the long layers make the bottom look more styled than lying straight. It's not a hard style, so I would definitely try it.
