How much time are you allowing for your hair the day of, specifically if you are going out to a salon?!
My make-up person would like to come earlier, but my salon does not open until a certain time & I don't want to say ok & then have make-up person waiting....
I know it depends on what you want done, but approximately how much time? Thx

I would figure at least an hour plus travel time

I was thinking the same thing but I decided to pick someone who is doing both hair and make-up.
I did not want to deal with it.

I've had 2 hair trial with my hair person and it took 1 hour each time, so I would say about an hour plus travel time. HTH

I count 1 to 1.5 hour for the hair. Plus travel time

Mine took about an hour and we all went out to the salon in shifts and came back to my parents' house in shifts were the makeup person was working.
ETA: I loved going out with my veil and being outside that morning of my wedding...it was just an amazing feeling to be in touch with the 'world' for a few moments!

Hair took about an hour. I went the salon at 10 with my mom and one of my BMs. We were out of there by 12:00 with the same person doing all of our hair. My mom's hair was just a blow out.

What we did for my sister's wedding was that the shop opened I think an hour or half hour early and some of the bridesmaids went there, then when they were done they went back adn got their makeup done, while others were at the hair salon. it worked out real well, but the whole thing took from about 8:30-12. My sister had 4 bridesmaids and my mom also got her hair and makeup done. I think my sister's hair took the longest- an hour??

At least an hour and leave room for error! My hair person was almost done with my updo when I realized she wasn't leaving any space for my veil and tiara. She had completely forgotten that I was doing the veil in front of my bun, not under my bun--a look I don't really care for, JMO. She asked me how opposed I was to it because we were pressed for time. I'm sorry....it's only your day once....I told her I had my heart set on it how we planned it, so she had to take it down and start all over.....give yourself 2 hours, actually!
