Hair Dying.....

How long before the wedding should I go get my hair dyed? I almost feel stupid calling my hair stylest to ask b/c she's going to tell me to come in now and I don't want to b/c I really don't have the extra cash. My hair is brownish and I just really have to have my roots done.

So what do you guys think?

I'm getting my roots done tomorrow and my wedding is 3 weeks away... I def wouldn't get them done now because you would need to get them done again before your wedding. I would wait until the 1st/2nd week in Sept.

My natural color is very dark and my hair color now is blondish. I am having my last touch up one week before the wedding (any longer and you can see the beginning of roots!).

I plan on doing my color 1 month before the wedding and having a touch up the week before.

If your natural color is not too drastically different from the color you are dying it to, I would do it about 2 weeks before the wedding. HTH!

I've been dying my hair all sorts of colors since I was fourteen and I'd definitely say no more than three weeks before the wedding but 2 would be idea. Depending on the natural vs. dyed color of your hair, the slightest bit of roots (under a 1/2 inch) gives your hair a bit more depth and looks surprisingly natural.

Also, it will prevent your hair from getting oxidized (i.e. brassy or tinges of color that you dont really want) if you are out in the sun at all for august etc.
