Hair Genie rants or raves?

hi ladies...

does anyone know anything about this vendor? Also, there's no address or anything on her website, where in Nassau Co. is she located?

she really is awesome! i booked her for myself, mom ,and 2 bm. my hair is probably the onlything that i'm not worried about!

I see that she works with Oksana, and I tried to contact her twice and got no response. That doesn't make me very comfortable.

Do you think she would mind if I went with another makeup person?

Not at all. I am using another makeup artist, and she was cool with that--- actually said she's enjoyed working with her for a few weddings.

Absolutely adore Jenn from hair genie. She is so down to earth and a real sweetheart. She books fairly quickly, though so email her asap!!

I am using her and Oskana together, but I don't think you have to use them both. They are both amazing though. Don't give up on Oskana yet. Once you meet her, I am pretty sure you will love her. She is great at what she does and is the sweetest person. I know she will help keep me calm on my wedding day

Jenn (hair genie) did my hair for my wedding, and she was Awesome! i had a trial with her, and it came out great, But then, like a week and a hlf b4 my wedding, i completely changed my mind as to what style i wanted and she went out of her way to squeeze me in so i could try it out (ALSO, i used her for my highlites, and she did a great job!). I have all great things to say about her, she is a sweetheart, and really good at what she does... i didnt have any worries about my hair on my wedding day.

BUT the only thing is.. be prepared for her to mention Oksana ALOT. i tried to book Oksana, but she was already booked for that day, so i booked another Girl (named Nicole from Facia Bella... she was AMAZIINGGG!!!!)... anyway, jenn asked me so many times who i was using for make up, and kept mentioning Oksana. it just got to me a little b/c i feel like they are 2 separate people with their own businesses... and i understand recommendations and networking... thats what business is all about, but it just kinda got to be overkill a little bit. Anyway, i jsut wanted to give you the heads up with that... but seriously, Jenn was AMAZING and i would highly recommend her!! she showed up early, did a perfect job, and i cant tell you how many compliments i got specifically on my hair and make up (even from people who didnt realize that youre supposed to Notice hair and make up )

I used the Jen, The Hair Genie, for my hair and Jacqueline Nicole (another vendor on this board) for make-up.

They were both FANTASTIC and worked really well together.

I went with Jackie for make-up because I wanted to be airbrushed. It stays on for 24 hours. My make-up was done at 6am and still looked great when I went to bed at 1:30 the next morning.
