Hair glue in extenstions

Hair glue in extenstions

I don't know if that was the right topic wording..my question is...to get the updo's that people are showing are they using just their hair to get that full look, or are you getting a hair extension piece that adds volume to your hair so you can make a full up do...what do you think? I'm not saying the permanent kind or the clip on kind...a friend of mine had a piece glued in that comes off the next day...what are your thoughts?

Re: Hair glue in extenstions

My hairdresser recommended the clip on extensions.

I spoke with a girl at work that has her cosmetology license and she highly recommends the glue in extensions. She said they stay in for a few days you just can't condition your hair. (unless you want them out immediately) She uses them all the time and unless she points them out I never know!

are you talking about bonded extensions, i think thats what you are asking about. Well those are pricey, anywhere from $900-2k. Ive seen some places that you can get it for around $600.

I am using clip on and they were great, i have trial in my album with clip on extensions. I dont want to get bonded extensions bc i dont want them in for that long. Ive had extensions before the ones you do keep in for 2 months and i dont want to do it again so thats why.

if you want it for a while after the wedding then yes get bonded

No not the bonded expensive ones....the cheaper glue in ones that last a few days....so you guys are using them...ok good to know! I have my trial in March and I guess i'll ask then. I have the 'hair do' clip in extensions but I am worried That will make me feel uncomfortable...i guess we'll see what they say!

the glue will be expensive...the cheaper way is to have it sewn in thats what costs less. THey use tracks of hair, braid parts of your hair and then sew the hair onto the braids

But I want them out the next day...my friend got a piece that was $35...and they used glue and it came out the next day. She loved it...I don't want anything long lasting...So I would have to use clip ins?

what kind of glue did they use for it to come out the next day i think i know what you mean and if you want to do that then go ahead i guess but be careful bc even with expensive bonding the glue to your hair depending on how well the hairdresser takes it out can rip your hair out. ALSO make sure its real hair bc otherwise the fake hair wont curl or hold up and it will be a difference between your hair.

i will be using clip in extensions no glue i dont want to damage my real hair and i dont want to keep them in. the clip on ones will do the job, and yes make sure its real hair, it will not curl otherwise

Re: Hair glue in extenstions

everything everyone is saying is true

the cheapest quickest think is glueing them in..thats what i am doing

you can get 18 inches for $30 bucks..i FMed you with more info

a lot of girls are doing this...i did a bride and 4 BM last weekend for a wedding its getting popular and its the easiest to work with

if taken out correctly..it will NOT damage hair AT ALL!!

it definitely can be taken out without damage. I had a girl who made sure to be so careful and took her time and didnt rip one hair out. But i also know from my other hair dresser how many girls have come in with damaged hair after it came out and then they go to him to try and fix the problem, all depends on the hair dresser.

My main concern would be the hair. One time it was real hair and great quality. Another time the girl had me buy hair at an inexpensive price, it was good but when i curled it, the extensions came out after a few short hours and my real hair was still curled so it looked funny. When it was all straight it looked better together. ZOE: if you want i can show you pics of this later to show you what i mean

ahhhh so many decisions...I guess i'll just have to see what the person doing my hair recommends. Yikes!

girls with clip in ones - where are you getting them from? your regular hairdresser than bringing them for your trial and wedding? or is your wedding stylist getting them for you?

LUCKILY i dont even have to get them. Claudia pedala, the one im using for my wedding provides you with clip ons at no extra charge. Two weeks before the wedding she'll take a sample of my hair and match the color of the clips to my hair, So im happy about that bc it saved me alot of money, otherwise i would've gotten extensions which wouldve cost alot

thats good! at my regular salon there is a girl who does a lot of updo's and she does clip ins - she matches them to your hair, sells them to you, and then she styles your hair for you with them....so i can get them from her i just don't know how comfortable my stylist (whoever i end up with for the wedding) will be using them.....i dont know if all clip ins are the same or not

most of them are the same and regardless your stylist for the wedding should be able to put them in regardless. If you bring your own shouldn't be a problem

Re: Hair glue in extenstions

I just called the salon doing my hair and they recommended getting human hair and gluing them in. They said the clips can get uncomfortable. Soooo I guess maybe i'll do that?
