Ok, I have long curly hair, and am debating on one of these 2 styles (probably the 1/2 up 1/2 down one) SO, WHAT kind of headpiece to I wear ?? I don't feel comfortable in a full out Tiara. - I just can not carry it well.......suggestions ? pictures ? Advice ??? oh and FH absolutely hates my hair straightened, so that's kind of out !!! Thanks!!
I definately like the half up half down, but I am partial to that hairstyle in general. if you do that and still want glitz have you tried the smaller (shorter) tiaras? Also try floating crystals, they come on hairpins, bobbypins or snaps and you can have the hairstylist put as much or as little as you want. That is also done with pearls.

LOVE the first pic - very glamarous and classic. I hate the idea of a tiara on my head too (not to offend the many tiara lovers) -it looks great on most, but is just NOT me!
Like you, I am torn between a loose and classic updo, like the first, and a half up half down thing. FH LOVES when my hair is down, and I never wear it that way, so he would be moved to tears if he saw it down:)
I don't want a veil either (everyone keeps telling me-'you will change your mind'...maybe.) and am opting for a large fresh garden rose to be tucked in my hair instead.
I think either option is gorgeous, i love the 'loose' sort of romantic feel of both. I'm going for the same thing and love these two:
