Hair help - in Queens or Nassau

I am having the worst time finding anyone to do hair for my July 5 wedding! I called two people last week and they have yet to call me back. Does anyone have any recommendations for hairdressers in Queens or Nassau County? I don't have a car so I would have to take public transportation. Thanks so much! I'm really stressing out over this!

Try New York Hair Salon Inc. in Great Neck on Middle Neck Rd. They are right across the street from the Great Neck train station and they do amazing work. One of the girls there did my hair for my e-party and I was very pleased. They are reasonably priced too! Their phone number is 482-9016

Could I get Jen from Fairytales at this late date? My wedding is 6 1/2 weeks away! But I guess I will never know unless I try! I will also call the place in Great Neck!

I get my hair done at Kragans in Bayside on Francis Lewis Blvd and have been going there for almost 4 years. She has done my hair for every occasion and she is the best. Her name is Lauren and she wonderful. You should try her out. The number is 718-321-2173.

I go to this woman Maria from Anthony Peters salon in East Meadow on Hempstead Tpke. She's amazing w/her hair & she'll come to you! Her number at the salon is 516-731-1043. If you call her make sure to say MariA and not MariE cuz there are both in that shop!!!

Intercession salon on Francis Lewis Blvd in Whitestone. There is a girl there named Sandra that does unbelievable 'up do's'. The number is 718-746-3956.

Also, Christie & Co. salon in the Bay Terrace shopping center in Bayside does very nice work and the salon is VERY BIG so there are many different people available. I had my hair done there for my friend's wedding and so did the rest of the bridal party and they accomodated all of us in a timely fashion.

OMG Michelle76.... I go to Kragen's also.... I see either Micky or Lauren (depending on who's available around my crazy hours!) They are very good stylists & their prices are reasonable.

Also, Dina does phenominal waxing....I am also checking her out for my makeup!

BTW..... How funny is Albee (the shampoo guy)

I go to Kragen's also!! Freda does my hair. I used to go to hair trap and then my girls moved to Kragen's. Grit, Lauren, and Freda are going all of the 'do's' for my wedding. Such a small world!

Try Hairstyling for the Sophisticated Bride by Ilisa Lupo. She was Great. And she comes to you. Her prices were ok. But she was sooo worth it (516) 293-0450. GOOD LUCK!
