Hair: How many of you girls...

Hair: How many of you girls...

are having your regular hair stylist do your hair for the wedding??

I was going to book one of the vendors we all talk about but now I think I'll have my hair stylist do it. It'll be much cheaper - and she knows my hair... plus 2 or 3 of my BMs want their hair up as well...

I wish mine could but she doesn't really do up do's or wedding hair so I'd rather go with someone with more experience in that department.

mine is particulary since she is like my second mother and dosent charge me :) always a plus but she has been doing my hair for like 10 years and has done all my special occasion hair from proms to weddings so I am most comfortable with her.

I'm using my regular lady. She did my hair last year when I was a BM for my friend. Theres enough people working with her to do all 6 BM's and 2 mothers, and price wise she's only gonna charge me $50-65 each depending on the hair, so it works out best for me.

yeah, my trial will only be $35 for my reg lady. Plus I'm so picky and she's know what an a$$ i can be so it wont bother her, whereas someone new might get really pissed.

I WISH! I think she may cost more, and she lives in NJ and works in NYC, so I'd have to have her travel out to LI. I may ask her the price, but I'm not sure it's even worth it.

I definitely am. I really don't see the point in shelling out extra money for somebody who doesn't know me at all. I really like the guy who does my hair, and he knows me, so I trust him.

I'm thinking about going to a regular beautician who specializes in up-dos, I don't want to tell them I'm a bride though. They seem to charge astronomical prices when they have that information.

Person who does my hair is a guy who doesn't do updo's, so I'm staying within the salon, but I'm also making an appt with Jen, The Hair Genie as well. We'll see how it goes.

hello bride to be buddies

ok i am glad someone put up this post. i would like to express my opinion as a hairstylist for 14 years. i would say in my opinion that if you have someone who does your hair all the time let them do your updo or whatever your doing. for one reason they know your hair and they know your personality. '2 ' it proably save you a alot of money. personaly i wouldn't pay more then $75.00 for your hair the day of the wedding. i seen some of the prices on here from vendors (no names mentioned ) and there ripping you off big big big big time. you can find someone who does the same quality of work if not better for alot less money. i think its insane what some people charge. wedding cost us enough for other things. remember if the hairstylist is
coming to your home or hotel there pocketing the money so they make all of it. bobby pins don't cost that much money and neither does good hair products. remember us hairstylist get products for cost not what you pay for them.so don't let them try to tell you diffrent. yes you pay for there creative side but i seen 150 bucks for a updoo for a bride thats insane. remember please this is just my opinion and i wanted to tell you being i been doing hair and brides for 14 years. mooshyboo can tell you and i just want you girls to be happy and not taken advantage of. love to all

I'm just going to the girl who always cuts my hair.. she has done up do's for me a few times and did a great job... i got tons of compliments. i'm still gonna go to a trial with her next yr... hopefully she doesn't have any vacations planned for the week of my wedding haha.

I think my hairdresser from NM is coming with me. His mom lives in NYC so it will be a functional trip for him!!
