My friend contacted me this morning about hair and make up prices for her wedding. It seems it will cost the BM's about $280 for both (will include airbrush & eyelashes). Is this a reasonable price? I am freaking out bc I feel like that's a lot of $$$ but I haven't really priced this out yet so I don't really know. For the Bride it is over $300.
BTW we are getting ready in the Babylon area, if anyone has any recommendations that I can look into.

Does that include tip? That seems high to me. The typical quotes i've received from makeup artists and hair stylst for bridesmaids are between $75-$100. Eye Lashes are often included if a certain amount of girls book or $5-$10 extra.

I don't know the going rate but did you ever think about letting them go to a hair and makeup person of their choice?
I have 7 BMS and my mom so my hair and makeup girls cant do them all (in my tiny house and the fact that my church is at 1:30, no thanks!)
I decided to have most of the girls get their hair and makeup done where they like. Some girls have a preference especially when it comes to who they go to with their hair. Plus if they use their own person, its really up to them how much they want to spend.

Im getting my hair done by Fire Monkey Hair and she charges $70 for bridesmaids and $90 for the bride.
My make up artist s Christy Ann and she charges 100.00 for bridesmaid and 150.00 for the bride but she does come back before your reception to touch up your makeup.
I think the prices you got are a bit high.

$280 is high for a BM, I think it shoul be more like $175 - $200. I would not want to spend $280 if I were a BM, that is even more than I spent on myself when I got married. I'm sure she would be fine if you decided to get your hair or makeup done elsewhere with a place and price that you are more comfortable with.

Yes, she def would be fine with that. I was also looking to get everything done for my wedding in the area so when I heard these prices I freaked bc I know soon enough, it's my time. I called a couple other places who are more reasonable, so I've calmed down a bit.
