Hi Ladies, I could use some advice. I am having a hair stylist and make-up artist come to me on the day of the wedding and they will do me, my sister, and mother, so three of us.
Hair will cost us $475 total
M/U will cost $200 total
Presuming we are happy with the work/service, what are decent tips? I'm having trouble because we are paying all cash up front, and for hair, am I really supposed to give $100 tip from all three of us? That would be %20, but it seems like a lot . . .thoughts?

Hmmm, I would probably do the 100 for everything. It seems like a lot but for 3 people for hair and makeup, I think it's about right.

I'd give them 60 or 70 each. That way it's about $20 tip from each person. HTH!

I had one makeup person and 2 hair people come to us to do myself and 5 other people. I paid for everyone's makeup and tipped her $140 (20%) for the hair people everyone handled the tips themselves because they all paid for themselves, but I tipped about $30 for myself (20%)

This is a good idea. I mean, if I tip my hair person 20% that's another $100!!!! And she's already getting $475 for doing 3 people's hair! She's awesome, but that's a lot!

im in the same situation with this plus the hair lady who is coming it is going in her pocket same with m/u so I am not giving too much of a tip
I am paying for my girls make up so thats 6 of us. Im going to tip her 100 and her assistant 50 I think thats fair. no?
hair they girls are paying for their own so they can give what they want im going to tip my hair person like $40
