Hair & Makeup

I'm getting married the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend at East Wind in Wading River. Does anyone know of any hair salons around there that might be open on Sunday's? I know I could find a million people to come to me, but I'm concerned that there won't be enough room at East Wind for all of my bridesmaids (about 7) to get their hair done as well.....

Dont forget to check out the East Wind Brides thread. It could answer a lot of questions you have.

We blocked rooms there so all the BMs are getting ready there in the rooms. If you book the Ambassador Suite there is room for 7.

Thanks. We have rooms for Sunday night, but they'll all need to get ready way before they can check in! If I can get into the Bridal Suite early it may not be a problem, but I don't want to rely on that! I'll check the EW thread, good idea. Thanks,

I don't know any that I can name, but a lot of times if you have a bunch of people getting ready, the salon will open up for just you guys. For instance, my sister got married early in the morning, and they had a few hair dresses come in very early, do the girls hair, and then close up the shop.

HI one of my many date twins...
I asked about this (not out east, but in general) and they will open early but charge lots of money. It will wind up costing about the same as having someone come to you.
All the girls don't have to get thier hair done at the same time, you can stagger them and that way not everyone will all be in the same room at the same time.

I know its a pricey, but East Winds has a salon and they do open early for weddings. Plus, its big. We went for my friends wedding in May'04. Hair was $90. Makeup was $120. I'm sure prices changed, plus she only had 4 people get hair done, and just the bride got her makeup done. Maybe with a larger party, they'll help out more. Plus, if you book a certain amount of people, some salons will open earlier
