Hair & Makeup Tipping question

Since my hair and makeup ladies are coming to me, they naturally cost more than a salon. With that being said, is a 15% to each vendor acceptable? I'm paying the tip for hair and makeup for my BP and mom, which will probably be around $125 each. Is that a good tip? I mean, again, they already up their prices since they're coming to you. What is everyone else doing???

I think the consensus around here is that if you're happy with their work, tip them.

HOWEVER, ettiquette says that if makeup and hair is coming to you, you do NOT tip. They are already charging you a fee to come to you and will usually pocket the entire amount you give them. Also, if your makeup and hair person(s) is the owner, you do not tip (owners don't get tips b/c they keep the entire amount that you pay).
