Hair or Makeup, what comes first???

Hair or Makeup, what comes first???

My hair dresser is telling me get makeup done first and the makeup woman is telling me get hair done first. Now I am confused and not sure what to do but I better figure it out soon! What did you girls do or what are you going to do? TIA

I'm doing hair first then make-up -- but I think you would want your make-up to be fresher if possible

I did my hair first. If you use any heat, you don't want sweat to ruin your make up.

Definitley Hair First!!!
Remember, your having a lot of hairspray and your face may get sticky, your makeup girl will clean you up before she applys.

everyone says hair then makeup but I went for makeup trial yesterday and she clipped my hair back to apply foundation. By the time she finished in an hour my hair was flat on top. So despite what has been said I'm doing makeup first so hair can be fluffed etc. Hair person said as long as I wash it if it needs to be washed before makeup I should be OK. Too since I'm going to salon for makeup I don't really want to be floating around with a veil and tiara on. At 20 that's ok not at 56 - - they might want to take me back to the looney bin!!!

I would say hair first then make-up, they can always tweak the hair surrounding your face if need be.

I had my hair set in curls, then I got makeup done, then finished my hair then had a makeup touch-up.

I'd suggest hair then makeup.
I had the opposite, but it was fine because she was able to freshen up my makeup after the hairdresser finished.

we set my hair, then did makeup, got dresses, and THEN finalized hair.

I did hair first and tried to leave the makeup to as late as possible!

I am getting my makeup done first at 9:00 AM. I know everyone is worried about the hairspray, etc. The hairdresser can put something over your face (not touching it) this way the hairspray won't touch your face. I know when I went for my makeup trial it was airbrushed and I had to throw my hair back for her to get my entire face.

I am also getting my hair done first b/c I am worried about getting the airbrushed foundation on my veil.

I would do hair 1st. My salon offered to do hair 1st.
